ulogd is Harald Welte's Userspace Logging Daemon. Harald Welte the lead netfilter/iptables developer. There is good documentation for this package in the /usr/doc/ulogd-$VERSION/ directory (after it's installed), but you'll probably be able to figure out most everything you need by looking at the config file (/etc/ulogd.conf). I make no guarantees that this will work on your machine; if it doesn't, get the source and compile it yourself. In case you're wondering how this works, the simple answer is as follows: In your firewall script, all LOG targets will need to be renamed to ULOG targets. This will cause netfilter to pass log requests to ulogd instead of syslogd. The next challenge will be to configure ulogd's config file (etc/ulogd.conf) to tell it where you want the logs to go.
